Pawcatuck Park Petroleum Contamination Investigation and Cleanup Design Town of Stonington, Pawcatuck, Connecticut Provided site investigation services to identify area of oil contamination at Pawcatuck Park.   Designed and prepared Remedial Action Plan and bid plans and specifications for the cleanup. Provided remediation oversight and documentation of soil remediation, which was approved by CTDEP.

Services included the following: Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Phase II and III Site Investigation Remedial Action Plan Cleanup Design and Plans and Specifications Through a detailed assessment of the site history, the source of petroleum contamination was determined to be from old aboveground oil tanks, from the time when the property was an oil distribution facility.   A Soil Remediation Plan was prepared and approved by CTDEP.  Soil remediation activities included removal and disposal of approximately 1000 tons of contaminated soil.
