Norwich Intermodal Transportation Center Norwich Community Development Corp., Norwich, CT The NCDC is planning a $20+ million Intermodal Transportation center at this old industrial waterfront site. The site was previously occupied by several old industrial mills. A coordinated effort is ongoing to address environmental and site development issues.

Environmental investigations have identified soil contamination associated with the fill originally placed on the waterfront property. Environmental issues are being coordinated with site development plans to minimize the need for soil removal.  This includes structures and pavement placed over soil contamination to prevent accessibility and direct contact.
